July, 2012. The Apache dancers from Phoenix, Arizona were welcomed by the country of Paraguay. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, “Yellow Bird” visited indigenous communities of Paraguay.
“Yellow Bird” traveled 2,000 miles during their five day tour - from the Chaco region where they met with Enxet, Nivaclé, and western Guaraní tribes - to the Amambay department where they met with the ancient Paí-Tavyterá.
“Yellow Bird” also performed in front of massive audiences at the Mariano Roque Alonso Expo and the Theater of the Americas at the Paraguayan American Cultural Center.
